Please pass the xanax

I have an (odd) phobia of bridges. This website speeds up my heart rate just looking at it.

Like, really? What part of this looks like a good idea?

It’s not like I ever had a traumatic experience with/in/on/around a bridge. I think my phobia started back in elementary school – 5th grade if I remember correctly. As part of our science class we all had to construct bridges out of toothpicks and see whose held the most weight. Prior to building our little bridges we had to watch a video compiled of real footage of bridges collapsing, frequently with people traveling on them. WHY would you show that to young children?! Cruel and unusual punishment if you ask me.

I really only get worked up about bridges over long stretches of water, or where it is difficult to see the end point. When I stumbled upon this website of the 10 Most Extreme Bridges I thought I would share the horror with my readers.

Enjoy.

Can someone please pass me a Xanax?

  1. I’m with you- I would have to take LOTS of Xanax to cross that one in Pakistan!!!!!! NO WAY!!!!!!!!!! I remember that project in school and how it freaked you out…..

  2. Lol, I hope there is a curve at the top of that bridge, that isn’t visible in the picture, otherwise the people in the car are in for a hell of a ride. Lol (thanks for sharing the picture)
